You Don't Need to be Hungry!

Many of us associate “diet” with “hunger.”

We don’t.

First of all, we don’t view eating well as a “diet.” We view it as a new way of life.

And when you make this change and start on this new way of life, we absolutely don’t think that you should be experiencing hunger. On the contrary – once you stop eating sugary junk and start eating wholesome, real foods with lots of protein, your blood sugar level will stabilize, you will stop having wild cravings, and if anything, you will feel more satiated for longer than when you were eating a white-flour-white-sugar-low-fiber diet.

We couldn’t agree more with Christine Avanti, who says, “You can eat carbs and protein in each meal, speed up your metabolism and lose weight… It’s all about getting away from the idea of starving yourself and putting yourself on a diet. It needs to be a lifestyle change.”

We also agree with Jenny Grothe, who wrote here a short while ago, “You can eat yummy foods. You don’t have to starve yourself. You can actually eat all day long, and as long as it is good, clean, substantial food, it will actually help you lose or maintain your weight.”

The message that both these great women are sending is loud and clear: being lean and fit does NOT mean that you have to starve yourself to get there. On the contrary. Take a look at what actor and model Stefan Pinto eats on a daily basis – some of these meals are HUGE! But they are wholesome and healthy. Voskos Greek yogurt, eggs, tuna, garbanzo beans, raw nuts, cottage cheese, oats, Ezekiel bread, and lots and lots of veggies, to name a few of his food choices.

So what’s the secret of people like Stefan, Jenny and Christine? They eat real food, avoid processed foods and junk food, and fill their plates – and their tummies – with food that gives them endless energy and keeps them satiated for a long time after they have finished eating. It’s the exact opposite of eating foods that digest fast, causing wild blood sugar fluctuations and sending you into a spiral of uncontrollable cravings.

Choosing to eat better does NOT mean being hungry. On the contrary – you will be fuller, more satiated, and more energized, than ever before.
